Lesson Ten:  When God Answers Prayer — Or Doesn’t 

We need to remember that God is omniscient—He knows everything that is knowable, including the content of every prayer that has ever been offered by every person that has ever lived or ever will live.  And, He is aware of all of it all at the same time!  Because He is infinite He can do this—so don’t ever think that God is too busy to attend to your prayers. 

But just because God hears every prayer that is made does not place Him under any obligation to answer it … There are basically two reasons why believer’s prayers don’t get answered—or at least don’t appear to get answered.  One is that God in His wisdom has chosen to answer the prayer in a way the believer does not expect … The other is that the believer in some way has disqualified himself from being heard at the Throne of Grace.  In this case the prayer is not answered because God has simply refused to consider the request!
