Muslim faith & Jesus Christ
The Muslim faith does not believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God. This belief is critical if in fact the Muslim faith is true. If Jesus was the Son of God then everything he said concerning his death, burial and resurrection would be true because God is not a liar. It would also be true that he paid the penalty for our sins as our substitute on the cross and that we would obtain salvation by believing in him.
Jesus said in John 10: 27 thru 30. “My sheep hear my voice; and I know them and they follow me. I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand, my Father who has given them to me is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Fathers hand. I and my Father are one.”
These verses make it clear that Jesus claimed to be the Son of God and that he is one (person) with the Father. Furthermore, Jesus claimed to be the resurrection for mankind and that belief in him results in salvation. John 11: 25 says ” I am the resurrection and the life (Eternal) He who lives (physically) and believes in me will live (eternally) even though he dies (physically) and whosoever lives (physically) and believes in me will never die (eternally).
Do you believe this? The Muslim faith does believe that Jesus was only a prophet sent from God but not the God/Man. I would ask any Muslim to carefully consider this question. If Jesus was a prophet from God would he lie about being the Son of God, the resurrection, the source of eternal life, having the power to give eternal life and being “one” with the father? Your answer to this question will determine your eternal future. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” Acts 16:31.
